Cuyahoga Valley National Park visitor center. This national park is just outside of Cleveland, Ohio.Went for one hike in this national park and although it was pretty, it’s much too urban as you could see the interstate highway is crossing the river in the backgroundThis river was so polluted at one time that the river itself actually caught fire. You could read the story in this picture.One of the highlights while hiking a trail was this beautiful waterfall. It has outdoor seating which has an absolutely beautiful view!!I stopped at a plot and took this picture along the Blue Ridge ParkwayI then went to a trailhead named Compton Gap and took a short couple hour hike.Just a cool picture along the trailMade this hike intriguing to me was it is actually part of the Appalachian Trail, which runs from Georgia to Maine. I had to be careful because Greta is 10 1/2 feet tall and some of these tunnels are only 11 or 12 feet tall.After leaving Shenandoah national Park, I headed to my next national park but camped in a state park named Big Meadows CampgroundI had a nice campsite, but it was rainy and the mosquitoes were terrible. You could see in the selfie. They’re biting me in the head.New River Gorge River that backed up to my campsite.
